Dollar Car Rental

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

Not all people have cars. On occasion car owners can`t use their own vehicle. This could be while on a vacation, or while their car is being repaired. At times people shy away from driving long distances in their vehicle. They want to avoid the miles of wear and tear on their own vehicle. That`s when Dollar car rental is useful.

Consider this. You`re a suburbanite. Your job is inside the city. Your home is within a few blocks of the train station. You don`t drive much during the week so why own a car? When you`re working you can`t drive. So it makes sense to plan errands such as shopping for a Saturday. On that day a car can be rented from a company like Dollar or Budget or Avis. After running all the errands and seeing a play, bring it back on Sunday. That adds up to about $20 for all the necessary car use. Compare that cost – $20 for a day over the course of 52 weeks is $1040 – to the purchase price of a car plus all the associated costs like maintenance, insurance, registration, emissions, and more which add up to thousands of dollars each year. The car rental is a bargain.

For people who need the car every day, a purchase is a better option. If the school bus doesn`t run, someone has to drive the children to school. Maybe the typical daily tasks and errands require more travel and carrying than would be workable on a bus or train schedule. Then it`s like the song lyrics “Buy buy buy” a car. But with a little planning there`s no purchase necessary, just rent for the short term use.

Companies pay for each mile employees drive. That`s often in the neighborhood of fifty cents or more per mile. That`s $50 daily for a 100 mile ride. Renting a car would cost about $20 for the day, and $12 for gas for that same 100 miles. It makes sense, then, for companies to consider a Dollar car rental instead of having employees drive their own cars on business.

Million Dollar Time Saving Shortcuts

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Sometimes it is all too easy to get bogged down by the slowness of your computer, tasks that you only need do for 10 minutes stretching out into 60 minutes and beyond (like answering emails for your online business), but there are some short cuts and hints that can make these tasks almost become seamless.

(1) Create delicious bookmark account (I learned this one from Rich Schefren), that loads up as your home page. On it you place links to the normal places that you visit on the net, a day to day list of tasks that you have planned for the next week and links to any resources that you might need. You can just point and click, rather than type or find URLs you might need for that day`s work. Plus you can save and bookmark places that you need to remember, and then tag them with a category so that you can find them quickly. This can actually save up to 30 minutes a day!

(2) When answering emails, do you often find that you are typing out the same thing over and over? Well a way to get around this is to create and save email signatures or templates for each of the replies that you find yourself typing in over and over again. I have dozens of entire e-mail signatures that I use on a normal basis.

(3) Speaking of e-mail—let me show you a sure-fire way to eliminate SPAM and automatically filter all of your e-mails. I recommend gmail, and for everyone having 3 different e-mail addresses—

a. Private e-mail address—used for family and close friends

b. Business e-mail address—used for everything related to your business

c. Public e-mail address—for opt-ins, purchases and everything else

I have folders, rules and alerts set up with my gmail and outlook as well, but the most important thing that I do when I want a break or a vacation is to not look at any e-mail at all—take a break, you`ll be glad you did. You can take care of it when you get back.

(4) If anyone knows me, they know I am a huge Mac fan, and I love my iPhone for a lot of reasons. I can look up directions, take pictures, and if you use Jott you can save any thoughts, ideas, or to-do`s that you remember on the go, you can record them. And if you don`t like typing or texting on your phone, you can even use Jott to dictate an email on your iPhone.

(5) On the same kind of theme as Jott, you can use Dragon Naturally Speaking to dictate letters or articles straight to Word. The latest version even allows you to dictate URLS, so you don`t have to type them in. You can speak 140 words per minute (probably twice as fast as I can type), so it can be a great time saver.

(6) Alt-Tab, Control-V, Control-C—if you recognize these shortcuts, you know what I`m talking about—shortcuts! Most software and programs that we use regularly, like Microsoft Word, or something a little more complex have a lot of short cuts. I would advise you to learn them, because they really can increase your productivity and reduce the need for numerous mouse clicks. I even have a wireless keyboard where I can create my own shortcuts for the programs and actions I do most often.

(7) Let me ask you a question. How many minutes a day do you search for passwords, or try to remember passwords for something? It can be up to 30 minutes a day. I know I`ve been guilty of it, but Roboform remembers your passwords, so you don`t have to and enters them in automatically when you visit a page that needs a password. It is also great if you fill in a lot of forms online too. I can`t tell you how much time this small application saves me online—no more forgetting and losing passwords any more for me.

(8) The speed of an internet connection can be a strain for us all. If you are experiencing your browser taking forever to load up, whether it is a normal web page or laden with videos, than I`d recommend an Ethernet internet connection, instead of a wireless one. This one change will make web pages load faster and save you lots of time throughout the day.

(9) And I saved the best for last—Firefox. I love Firefox because I can use so many add-ons and themes—it truly makes a personalized browsing experience with all the tools you need in one place. Plus, I have seen that browsing is faster and doesn`t crash all the time like internet explorer.

These of course, are only a handful of shortcuts off the top of my head. I would recommend looking for more and incorporating them into your daily tasks as you lay the groundwork for your seven figure internet business. There is nothing more satisfying than a really productive day.

Brainstorming – Create That Million Dollar Idea

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

There are many ways to stimulate your creative juices, and to get the ideas flowing. Most authors have their favourites which are usually tried and tested and work for them.

Maybe the best known is brainstorming. Brainstorming is a powerful technique which can create new ideas and solve problems. It can be done in a group, with a partner, or alone. When used in a group setting, it motivates and develops a team spirit. It often involves group members in bigger management issues and allows the team to work together. When used as part of a team, a flip-chart, allowing all participants to see what is happening, and what is being produced, is essential. On a one to one basis, or alone, it not required. But writing everything down is essential.

There are a few simple rules when brainstorming. Firstly, judgement and criticism are suspended during the session. Secondly, there are no right or wrong answers, there are no good or bad ideas. Reviewing the ideas generated comes later. Often the wilder, and stranger the idea, the better. Many times great ideas can come from what initially appears strange or irrelevant.

Another concept to bear in mind when brainstorming ideas for your writing, is that quantity and not quality is the most important thing at this stage. Combining ideas is another option, see where one idea leads, then combine it with another.

Key to brainstorming is writing ideas down. Don`t just call out ideas, make someone responsible for collecting every single idea mentioned. It is easy to forget what is said, and no writer wants to lose a gem of inspiration for a new book or article. Also, sometimes actually seeing ideas written down, will spur you on to other ideas.

If you work alone, or are self-employed, you may wish to brainstorm alone. Maybe our colleagues do not like brainstorming sessions, or it is too time consuming to arrange a group session, or perhaps you work in a critical organisation, and get better inspiration from brainstorming with your partner. Often, brainstorming alone, or with a trusted partner, is more successful than in a group, but the essentials remain the same. There should be no criticism or judgement, and it is absolutely essential to write everything down. The time for reviewing suggestions will come later.

In using a structured approach to formulate new ideas, you will be at a huge advantage over others who do not think they can be creative alone. Actually, it is possible to be even more creative by yourself than in a group, especially if the group is badly organised.

Another tip for creating ideas is by Random Word Selection. A dictionary, newspaper or magazine can be used for the source. By selecting a word at random, you are almost guaranteed to come at a problem or idea from a different, and unusual angle.

It is important to stop yourself thinking that this is silly. Concrete results will soon change your mind.

To illustrate this technique, let`s work through an example. Say the random word generated is “globe”. Article ideas springing from this could be travel related, perhaps on the modes of travel, or the health aspects of travel. Another random word could be “balloon”. Initial ideas could be the rubber balloons are made from or maybe the different types of gasses it is possible to fill balloons with. Or perhaps the uses of balloons, possibly for travel, advertising or leisure.

There are many brainstorming techniques which will provide you with an endless string of marketable and valuable ideas, and if you are lucky, perhaps the million dollar idea will be in amongst them.

3 Easy Steps to a Million Dollar Title

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

The title is, without a doubt, the single most important part of your article. If you write a million dollar article, and add a crappy title, you wind up with a great article that no one will see. And, in the article marketing business, readers and page views are the only things that really matter.

With every article that I write, my goals are the same:

1) Provide a quality product that people will want to read.
2) Offer a desirable item/download that people will want to click.

In order to achieve these two goals, the article must have a great title. The title is the packaging that entices your readers to buy your product, or in this case, read your article. An example of this can be taken from your local grocery store. As you walk down each of the aisles, a cascade of colorful packaging bombards you. Each company designs their packaging to draw you in and entice you to select their product. The title serves the same purpose for your article; it acts as your packaging. On most article submission sites, we do not have the luxury of using colorful images to attract readers. The lack of space prohibits it. The title acts as your packaging. Your title must interest readers and draw them in. It has to stop them from looking at other titles and compel them to click on your article.

The three steps to a million dollar title are:

1) The type of article you write is very important in acquiring readers. ‘How to’ articles are always very popular. Make sure your readers know it is a ‘How to’ article. Do not use a general term for your title such as, ‘Beautify your House’. Be specific and use descriptive words. A much better title would be, ‘Three Easy Steps To Have the Most Beautiful House On the Block’. Use terms like, 3 steps to… or 3 Techniques for… or 10 Ways to…
2) Certain words and phrases naturally attract attention. Make sure you use at least some of them in your title. Some of these attention-getting words are: free, secret, sex, million dollar, big, profit, and money. Of course, there are many others. One easy way to find them is to look at your junk email file. Search among the subject lines to see which ones jump out at you and write them down. Consider using some of those same words for your title.
3) Research keywords that people are currently using in their Internet searches. This is important because it tells you what people are interested in today. If your title satisfies that interest, you will attract readers. There are several websites that provide this sort of up-to-date information.

New Psychology based Modular Training system that gets Measurable Results in Less Time, makes Dollars and Sense

One of the difficulties training and HR managers face, is planning their training and development with limited time availability of employees and getting cost effective, yet EFFECTIVE results. It is easy to get inexpensive training in the saturated Malaysian market, but to what avail? If the training does not conceive measurable results, is it even worth the time OR money? But on the other hand, the high end internationally recognized training providers are NOT CHEAP.
But one international organisation has…
…FOUND THE EFFECTIVE TRAINING REMEDY with its DC Psychology based modular training system.
Traditionally training for leadership, customer service, communication, project management… is all separately conducted and all using independent methodologies. The result is that people cannot fully understand each other’s roles and how those roles can connect to achieve Cooperative and competent execution of a common goal.
Directive Communication International (Asia) has a new philosophy when applying its Directive Communication Psychology based training: “One Language, One Vision” They have set an HRDF accepted system to solve cross-organisational implementation and result measurement.
How it works
When an organisation is trained in the Fundamental DC Methodology with a 2 day course, they are primed to take on “Application Modules” that only last 1 day (instead of the traditional 2days). This not only saves time and money, but puts everyone in the company on the same page. These application modules are executed by internationally renowned experts in each field who are accredited DC Psychology practitioners.
“This program has been implemented in Fortune 500 companies around the world with exceptional results” says Lily Lau, Directive Communication Practitioner specializing in Cultural Diversity.
Martin Le Roux, Manager Planning, Projects & Development for Emirates Hotels & Resorts said “This program has far exceeded our expectations, it has managed to achieve more in 2 weeks what we have he been trying to implement for the past 6 months. It has added a new dynamic in the whole approach to establishing a service culture.”

The Founder Comments
“The process develops leaders at all levels, disciplines and departments through a common Psychological perception that allows personal and organizational alignment. Employees and managers not only gain the ability to learn complementary skills to apply expertise synergistically, but gain confidence and attitude to take charge of the End Result, and not just in their specific job function” says Arthur F. Carmazzi, the principal founder of Directive Communications Methodology.

The Million Dollar Skill That Makes You Money On Demand

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

What if you learned and possessed a skill that you could earn a full time income for the rest of your life. How much would that be worth to you?

The skill I`m speaking of is copywriting and it`s the most important thing any internet marketer could ever learn. Copywriting is an art form and is really just selling with written words. It`s the simple art of persuasion. You`re using your copywriting skills when you try to get someone to go see a movie with you, just not in the written form. “I heard Roper gave it two thumbs up, do you want to see it?”

What did you do there? You simply used an “expert” to justify what you were saying to provide credibility.

You can do the same thing in copywriting to back up your statements and messages.

How do you reach the million dollar copywriter status, you may ask?

People are exposed to tons of advertisements every single day and the number is only going to keep increasing.

So you`re going to have to be very creative with what you say. The first big thing is to be yourself and don`t try to change it for someone else.

A great quote I heard by Dan Kennedy is, “If you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one.” So please just be yourself, people will take it or leave it.

The second step is to provide your prospect with some sort of proof. Simply put, if you`re going to use numbers be specific. Don`t say “15,000″, say “15,678.” It sounds simple but you`ll be surprised at the increase in conversion you see. Plus the second one just sounds much more believable.

The next step is simple but vital to your success. You MUST position yourself as an expert. Back up everything you say and never make claims that are over the top. People aren`t looking for hyped up sales letters, they look for genuine people. However, everyone trusts the expert and believes that they are credible. Think about it this way, do you trust your doctor for the most part? Would you take his advice if he told you how to avoid some sort of pain? Sure you would because he is an expert in his field.

The point in which most people fall off is not knowing their target audience deeply. You must know their fears, pains, problems and desires so deeply they feel like your own. Don`t slack off on the research it will pay off in your copy and your prospects will know it.

So to start the actual copy you need to make a headline.

You must make a stunning headline that pulls people in by the neck. The head line is truly just the biggest benefit someone can get out of your product or service. Make sure that you are writing a benefit laden headline, not a feature laden one. What is the difference? Well a feature would be, “Our product has a silent v4 motor.”

The benefit is what that ultimately does for the end consumer. How does that truly benefit them? What is the end result because of that feature? What pain did it solve or what pleasure did it provide?

Remember, you should have the “features tell and benefit sell” mentality to writing your copy. Focus on the end result that they will have due to using your product or service.

The same goes for the use of bullets, bullets should be benefits. More often than not people will buy a product just because of one bullet in the copy, so make them pop.

These days you must also give people a guarantee, it`s just expected. Statistics have shown that the return rates drop dramatically if you give them a 60-90 day money back guarantee. With results showing that over that return time period returns actually start to increase.

Finally, become a great story teller. If you can weave everything in with a great relevant story, then you have struck gold. Since the caveman day humans have just been magnetically drawn to stories, so use them to your advantage. However, make sure they are relevant or you will loose your prospects attention quickly.

Should You Have a Dollar or Money Dance at Your Wedding?

Friday, December 19th, 2008

There are many questions surrounding a wedding dollar dance (also known as a money dance). Do you need to know what one is? Are you unsure if you should have one or not? Don`t worry we are here to help.

What is a dollar dance?

A wedding dollar dance is a dance that is preformed by the bride and groom at the reception. Traditionally, it`s purpose is to give the couple extra money to spend on their honeymoon. It is more prevalent in some families than others. For this reason, the dollar dance has adapted slightly varying purposes over the years.

Should you have a wedding dollar dance?

That is strictly personal preference. Talk to your friends and family members to get their feelings about it. However, if it is something you want – then by all means have it!

One bit of advice: If dollar dances are not frequently done in your area, don`t assume that your guests will know what to do. Have your bridal party, or close friends, initiate the dance. You may also want your DJ or band to announce what is taking place.

How does a wedding dollar dance work?

Here are two different ways:

1. The bride and groom dance together to the song of their choice. A friend, or family member, stands close to the dance floor holding straight pins. Guests go, one by one, to the bride and groom to pin money to their clothes. The dance stops when the song ends or when the last guest gives money.

2. Same as the first except the bride and groom stand apart. The male guest line up to dance with the bride and the females with the groom. Each guests gets a short (few seconds) dance with either the bride or groom after pinning money to their clothes. This one is our favorite! It allows for interaction between the couple and their guests!

Wedding Dollar dance alternatives

You may want to employ one of these alternatives if you like the idea of a dollar dance, but feel uncomfortable about your guests giving you money.

1. Well Wishing Dance. Place small pieces of paper on tables with instructions for your guests to write down their thoughts and wishes for the bride and groom. Have your guests pin these wishes to you and your groom instead of money.

2. Have a money or well wishing tree. Place a box or fabric covered board near your guest book. Have your guests stick well wishes or money there and eliminate a dance altogether.

3. Guess Who Has The Gift Dance. This is a really cute idea that we came up with for a couple not too long ago. It was a hit. Do not give your bride and groom gifts to each other before the wedding. Instead, give them to your maid of honor and best man. Have them secretly pick out two guests to hold onto them.

Continue with the #2 wedding dollar dance example. Have the DJ or band announce that a special dance is about to take place and that all guests should line up to dance and give well wishes to the bride and groom. Have him/her also mention that somewhere in the line is the bride and groom`s gifts to each other.

You and the groom are then required to ask each guest “Do you have my gift?” during your dance until you are left dancing with the person who is holding your gifts from each other.

You can then open them and share that moment with all of your guests.

Hope this wedding dollar dance information helps you decide what is right for your wedding reception. Whatever you choose, have fun with it!

Another Million Dollar Dream

Friday, December 19th, 2008

When the itch of literature comes upon a man, the only thing that will relieve it is the scratching of a pen.

A Victorian vicar wrote that and he wasn`t wrong. I`d had the urge to write since I was a young man and I indulged myself from time to time. I scribbled the odd short story, I wrote pornographic letters for a couple of contact magazines, I sent ideas to TV stations, I wrote scripts and I collected a lot of rejections – as most writers do. One day I got a letter inviting me to visit a TV producer to discuss my work. I wept.

The producer didn`t want to use my script; she liked it, but she was looking for writers for the revival of an old courtroom drama. Did I think I could write thirty episodes? Why not? I said. Go away and study the law, courts and court procedure, she said. As soon as the contracts are signed I`ll send you the story lines, she said.

I read books. I spent my days in London`s famous courts. I made friends with people, on both sides of the law. I made lots of notes. A couple of months passed. We wrote to one another: I told her how much I had learned and how anxious I was to get started on the scripts; she repeatedly assured me that the contracts would soon be signed.

I noticed, at the bottom of one of her letters, that her title had changed. She was no longer assistant producer of xxx, she was now producer of xyz. I congratulated her on her promotion. It was the last letter I ever received from her. I had not understood that the change of title meant she had been promoted out of the old job, with responsibility for the courtroom drama, and that she would have no more use for me.

It took a few weeks, but I got the message. It was a blow. I probably wept. I promised myself, that I would not write anything speculative again for TV or anyone else, I would write a novel instead. And I wouldn`t send it to publishers; I`d publish it myself. I thought I may even give it away; hand copies to people on street corners; read passages to people on trains and, if they liked it offer a copy to them; or just leave copies in coffee shops and on park benches. I began writing The Workers, a sexy, violent, funny story from the London underworld.

After writing about fifty-five thousand words, I allowed the son of a friend to borrow my laptop for a homework project. Don`t download anything and don`t add any programs, where my parting words. Two days later he brought the laptop back with a killer virus on it. Every word of The Workers was lost. I wept.

Luckily I had a few chapters in hard copy and I tried to rewrite the rest, but it`s hard. I just didn`t seem to be able to get the scenes down. I had all but given up when I saw an article about Alex Tew and his Million Dollar Website. It was a great idea, Alex had sold a million pixels to fund a university education, I thought may be able to sell a few pixels to fund the writing and serialization of The Workers. I decided that, once I got going with a monthly deadline, I would be able to squeeze all the lost ideas out of their hiding places in the dark corners of my brain and onto the screen.

I didn`t have any trouble finding a Million Dollar Script, a Google search produced plenty to choose from. I decided on a script offered by ozwebfx. The script was less than a hundred dollars and Ozwebfx uploaded it for a small fee. Within a few hours, on the 31st February 2006, chapter one of The Workers, Say Goodbye To The Monk was uploaded to my new site, YourBigHomepage.com.

Million Dollar Tips to Explode Your Website Success

Monday, December 15th, 2008

Using the information below can make the difference between a successful website and one that languishes. Polish your site with some of the techniques below and watch the difference it can make.

Include RSS feeds that update with fresh content frequently and search engines will reward your site with a higher ranking.

Avoid using too many graphics or flash introductory pages; it can cause your page to take a long time to load. In today`s fast paced society visitors want the facts and information quickly. A substantial delay may cause visitors to click away before your page opens and go to a competitor’s page.

Design the site for your visitors, not for the search engines.

Host your website with a reliable hosting company. Your down time will be at a minimum and loading times will be reduced.

Do not use an unusual font; some browsers may not support it. Use a common font such as Verdana, Times New Roman, or Arial. Make sure the font size is readable and looks good on your page.

Make sure your website is consistent in it`s theme. Don`t try to be a website for everything and everyone. If your website is about dog care, include a nice variety of dog-care and related products. Don`t throw in foreign exchange or apartment search information.

Use the bold feature sparingly. Bolding text can be a valuable tool for drawing attention to a product or service.
If you bold every word in your paragraph, or heaven forbid, on your site, nothing stands out. Use it in moderation to highlight a few keywords here and there.

Include your contact information in your website. There is some debate about the best way to do this. Some people say you should provide contact information only on your index page, others recommend that you include it on every page.

Respond to requests in a timely manner, generally within 24 hours or less. Anything beyond makes people a bit leery about the legitimacy of your business and service. They want to know there is a live, eager person tending the store. Make sure you check for messages or questions on a daily basis.

Using the information above can enhance the performance of your website. Not only will it give people a reason to come visit, it can give them a reason to return. And traffic, whether it is a first time or tenth time visit is the object of the game.
