Saturn body kits—Enhance the Look of Your Car

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Are you tired of having to drive your old Saturn car but doesn’t have any money to buy a new vehicle? Well, I have got the perfect solution for you. Get your car a Saturn body kit.

Saturn body kits will surely make you love your old car again. Body kits are exterior modifications of cars that can make your car look cooler and sleeker. All you have to do is have them installed in your local body shop, and voila, you are ready to drive a Saturn car that is perfectly redesigned according to the type of personality you have!

Where can you find Saturn body kits? Saturn body kits can either be purchased at any local automotive body shop or at an online store. If you want to save time and effort then the best way is order the kit through an online store. All you have to do is log in the internet and search for a reputable online store. Make sure that before doing any kind of transaction, you have already verified whether or not the store is registered with Better Business Bureau. A BBB seal is an assurance that an online store is honest because it is being monitored by BBB. If the store you are looking forward to deal with is not a BBB member, then buy at your own risk. Many were already scammed, make sure that you take the necessary precautions before giving your handing your money away.

When you think you have already made sure of the honesty and credibility of the store then now it is time for you to consider which type of kit will you be buying. Depending on the climate and road structure of your area, you may either have to purchase a urethane or a fiberglass kit. Urethane is ideal for cold places with rough roads. Urethane is highly resistant to damages but once it cracked, no repair is possible. Fiberglass, however, can be repaired but is prone to damages that is why it is suited for people who are living in an area where the weather is decent and the road smooth to prevent any damage as much as possible.

Once you have decided which type is for you then all you have to do is order it and wait for a day then have it installed! You will surely be glad that the body kits are invented once you see the amazing transformation of your car.

Vivadi Saturn HD50 – 50 inches of Plasma TV Heaven and a Picture Quality That Leaves You Speecheless

Friday, December 5th, 2008

With Christmas heading towards us at a “rapid rate of knots” – so to speak, most of us tend to review how well the TV or DVD Players so as not to miss out on all of the TV Films. The aim of this article is to help you make your mind up if you are interested in buying a Vivadi Saturn HD50.

Purchasing a new TV today is an important decision. The idea of parting with what could be a couple of hundred notes does tend to concentrate the mind somewhat.

Given the speed and rapidity of technological advances nowadays think carefully about whatever purchase you make and try and ensure within reason the future compatibility of your TV with industry standards.

The latest telecommunication system for broadcasting moving pictures and sound is known as Digital television (DTT) and as the name implies this relies upon the transmission and reception of digital signals as opposed to the more conventional analogue formats. There are a number of different ways to receive digital television. One of the oldest means of receiving DTV (and TV in general) is using an antenna (known as an aerial in some countries).

For the purposes of this article we want to take a look at purchasing a new Flat Screen Television and in this case the television in question is the Vivadi Saturn HD50.

The Saturn HD50 is a 50in Plasma TV and currently these TV`s can be found for 8000 pounds sterling or 16000 US dollars. The resolution of the screen is 1366 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The Vivadi has 1 (no RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the Saturn HD50 uses is HDMI and 2. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and Digital and the Vivadi is available from limited outlets only.

All these points being taken into consideration, how would we view the Vivadi Saturn HD50?

First up, we would look at the picture quality and our score here would be 10 out of 10, and for the sound quality we would rate it at 10 out of 10. Taking a look at the number of relevant connections and their availability, our score would be 10 out of 10. With regards to the overall level of features, our view would be 10 out of 10 and for ease of use and overall value for money we would give it, 8 out of 10 and 6 out of 10 respectively.

Finally our overall opinion would be when you look at the scores we gave it you get a fairly good picture of what our team felt when they reviewed. This may sound slightly stupid and very obvious but now and then you can give a Tva good score on a technical basis but not really “fall in love” with the entire package. In this case the big down side is the price it has to be said but if you have the cash or can get your hands (legally) on the money thenm do whatever you have to do to get one of these pieces of kit. The Picture quality alone just leaves most people speechless!

It is extremely unlikely given the variety and range of makes and models available that you will not be able to find something to match your tastes or budget.

It probablt doesn`t need repeating but might be an idea, this is only our opinion of the [keyword] and not an official endorsement of the Vivadi Saturn HD50 either way, good or bad.

Please bear in mind the prices that are quoted in this article and take note that they are there purely for illustration and though valid at the time of the writing of the article may vary from time to time and also depending on the time of year when you make your purchase.

I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe No Doubt fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Return Of Saturn their artistic excellence is on full display as they have once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be their best work to date.

Return Of Saturn literally grabs your attention right from the outset with Ex-Girlfriend and won’t let go until the very last note of the very last song Dark Blue, which by the way is another great track.

While this entire CD is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 2 – Simple Kind Of Life, track 11 – Suspension Without Suspense, and track 14 – Dark Blue.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – Ex-Girlfriend. What a nice track!

Review of the No Doubt CD Return Of Saturn

Friday, November 21st, 2008

The super talented group No Doubt have released their latest CD on the Interscope Records recording label, entitled Return Of Saturn.

Unfortunately, it’s not everyday that I get a CD for review that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Return Of Saturn. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of No Doubt most impressive releases ever.

If you’re a No Doubt fan, or just a fan of Rock music this is a CD your collection simply should not be without.

While the entire CD is really very good some of my favorites are track 2 – Simple Kind Of Life, track 11 – Suspension Without Suspense, and track 14 – Dark Blue

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – Ex-Girlfriend. This is a great track!

GM Reinvents Saturn for 2007

Friday, November 7th, 2008

General Motors Corporation, maker of quality GMC tail light, has reinvented Saturn in its 2007 Aura XR. The Aura has proved its worth especially when it won the title “North American Car of the Year” at the North American Auto Show in Detroit in January.

Like the Chevrolet Malibu, Pontiac G6 and the Opel Vectra, the Aura is built on the Epsilon platform. It has no similarity with its American counterparts. However, it has a distinguishing resemblance to the Vectra.

The 2007 Saturn Aura XR comes with both four-cylinder and V6 power engines that are available in two models. But the four-cylinder for the Aura Green Line, is a gasoline-electric hybrid system. The XR has a 3.6-liter twin cam alloy V6, matched to a six-speed automatic with manual-shift mode and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

To better fit the US requirements and preferences, the Aura is built larger than the Vectra. Nonetheless, suspension is tuned in a more European manner that is very differently from the G6 and Malibu.

General Motors has proved before that it can build world-class cars in the expensive, limited-production category when it built the Corvette Z06 and the Cadillac STS-V. Now, it is once again making a difference in the real-world family sedan class.

The unique angular appearance that was first launched on Saturn`s Sky sports roadster is now visually seen on sedans through the Aura. The big headlights, unique hood, fender, and body side shapes sharply portrayed by prominent folds and character lines, and well-detailed wheel arches and lower sills make the Aura more fresh and sporty looking.

Found in the grille is the new Saturn chrome crossbar. Several openings in the lower front fascia also imply sporty attitudes. The luxury of Europe is seen on the chrome trim that surrounds the side windows. Proportional to the grille are the huge taillights with clear covers over red LEDs and twin exhausts that highlight the rear.

Aura’s interior is very European with tight panel gaps. It has leather seats, steering wheel rim, and shift knob. The driver`s seat is power-adjustable. The front passenger’s seats can also be power adjustable optionally through the use of the “Enhanced Convenience Package”. Power-adjustable pedals are also added by this system. Any driver can achieve additions in the standard tilt, telescope steering wheel, and the optimum seating position.

Riding comfort is enhanced by the LED-lit instruments that are quickly seen in all lights. Climate and audio systems control are also available. The new Saturn Aura XR is built with an upgraded audio system, with AM, FM. XM radio and six-disc in-dash CD changers that can also play MP3 CDs are optional. The auxiliary audio jack is also present. Auxiliary audio controls and headphones are available for rear seat occupants. The rear seat also has 60/40 fold feature. And as a mid size car, the Aura assures to hold two kids under 5-10 in comfort.

Like a typical sedan, Aura’s trunk opening is on the small side. But there is assured spacious room inside.

With improved rocker panels and hinge and roof pillars, a durable safety cage around the passenger compartment is engineered into the Aura`s unibody structure.

Standard on all models are the dual-stage front airbags, with the GM Passenger-Sensing System to adjust the removal of the front passenger bag depending on passenger weight, front seat-mounted side airbags, head-curtain bags, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, and the Stabilitrak electronic stability control system.

The 2007 Saturn Aura is one step higher than its American platform mates when it comes to suspension tuning and refinement. To minimize the vehicle’s weight, it uses aluminum control arms. These are found in the Epsilon platform`s fully-independent suspension, with struts in front as well as a four-link system in the rear. However, it is more tuned in the European style that is with relatively soft springs for ride convenience but well-matched shock rates for good control in excellent driving.

All these plus the durable chassis structure and excellent soundproofing, one could say that the 2007 Saturn Acura is the best among midsize sedans.

The Aura’s drive train suits its chassis improvements. The 3.6-liter V6 engine is a contemporary aluminum alloy, twin-cam, 24-valve unit with variable cam phasing for a wider power band and yet lower emissions. To enable the Aura to speed further, its engine is built with 252 horsepower (at 6400 rpm) and 251 lb-ft of torque (at a low 3200 rpm). As a matter of fact, 60 mph comes up in just over six seconds from a standing start.

That is not all! Its transmission is the first six-speed automatic for GM`s cars with front-wheel drive. It is a huge help in both acceleration and fuel economy through allowing a lower low and higher high gear with reasonable steps in between.

U.S. Route 422`s Saturn Bested County Dealers

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Saturn of U.S. Route 422 in Niles bested among county dealers in new-vehicle sales in May with 115 title registrations. This and other related data were released in Monday by the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio.

The dealership also bagged the highest post in May 2006 sales of 76 vehicles. The data showed that it being the top placer far left all other dealers behind.

The 115 sales were the highest among any other county dealer after Diane Sauer Chevrolet made 132 sales last September 2006.

Jim Pace Pontiac, Saturn’s neighbor and family member, grabbed the second spot in May sales with 71 sold new vehicles.

Generally speaking, as compared to last year, dealers overall marked their second straight month of better sales.

With 176 new and old vehicles sold, the Sweeney Buick Pontiac GMC bested among other dealers. The Sweeney Chevrolet followed shortly with 152 vehicles sold while the Greenwood Chevrolet Hummer followed next with 149.

Although Chevrolet’s sales this year went down from 706 in May 2006, the brand remained the most marketed marques in the area with 611 vehicles sold. Ford got the second spot with 247 vehicles compared to 298 last year. Pontiac ranked third with 205 vehicles – the only brand in the top three that had an increase from last year’s 147 sold vehicles.

The Cheveys got the top three vehicle sales ranks. It was led by the Trailblazer SUV with 133 sales versus last year’s 200 vehicles. The Impala at 129 with 76 last year followed as it ranked second while the Cobalt (the one built in Lordstown) ranked third at 126 compared to 129 a year ago.

Mike Capito, the sales manager of the Saturn new-car, commended the exerted rush efforts of the brand’s new lineup as well as the surge response to the customers’ growing concern over increasing gas prices. He pointed out that earlier this year the midsize Aura won Motor Trend’s North America Car of the Year while the two-seater Sky roadster pushes excitement into the lineup. The Vue has a new crossover utility vehicle for the 2008 year model. This is especially engineered for customers looking for a blend of sport utility vehicle and car.

Mr. Capito said that their company came out in 1991when they had one size car. And now, according to him, they already have a car that would meet every individual’s need.

He further said that Saturn is also benefiting from $3 per gallon of gasoline. But he was unsure about the Ion small car and Aura that both receive more than 30 miles per gallon on the highway.

He added that incentives are not playing a huge role in Saturn’s success. This is because although some interest financing offers are available, the brand sells vehicles at sticker price.

The Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio witnessed May sales in rise over last year for the second straight month. May sales are now 2,471 versus 2,247 in 2006. Dealers closed last year’s deficit of 11,180 to 11,053.

However, used sales declined from last year’s 3,628 to 983 vehicles this year. Sales starting January to May 2007 are off 19,008 to 21,596.

About Saturn Corporation

Saturn Corporation is a division of one of Detroit’s Big Three, General Motors. It is a brand of automobiles that was established on January 7, 1985 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of GM. It is active almost exclusively in the United States and Canada. In 1990, Saturn’s owner company began manufacturing the brand’s vehicles, which was as a response to the success of Japanese small-car imports in the United States.

Originally, Saturn’s motto was “A different kind of company, a different kind of car” from GM’s experiences acquired through its NUMMI and CAMI Automotive joint ventures. The mother company has organized the Saturn Corporation differently from their existing divisions with the attempt to compete with the Japanese management techniques. Workers would have more control at Saturn as well as involvement in the plant.

Maker of quality Saturn oxygen sensor, the Saturn Corporation has also established its own network from nothing, which was both independent and different from those used by veteran GM divisions. Instead of traditional automotive sales, the company put much focus on the quality of customer service, with insights gained from travel and hospitality as well as consumer retail industries.

The peculiarity of Saturn`s distribution network was highlighted by referring to what would usually be called “dealers” as “retailers”, and conversely “retail facilities” as regards “dealerships”. The “retail facilities” served non-competing “market areas” which are known for not bargaining the price (the cars are sold at their exact sticker price), their sales environments with no pressure, and professional sales staff.

Sales at Crowfoot Saturn Saab jives hot weather

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Crowfoot Saturn Saab is already Calgary`s number one Saturn dealer for customer service, in no less than four years of operation. This has been a distinction it has held for two straight years.

The dealership is also Calgary`s only Saturn Summit award winner for outstanding progress for two consecutive years now.

According to General Manager Mike Hofer, staff members at Crowfoot Saturn Saab treat every customer the same way they would want to be treated.

He says the dealership assures every customer is getting the best deal possible up front, without the stress of fighting for the right price because of its no-hassle, no-bargain policy on new and pre-owned vehicles.

And as Crowfoot Saturn commences its 2007 clear-out sale, finding the right price is the easiest as of now.

The 2007 ION, winner of the Polk Automotive Loyalty Award for the past three year, and more are to be bargained.

The ION is available with a zero-per-cent purchase financing – an industry leader, for up to 72 months.

The famous 2007 Vue crossover SUV, the Relay mini-van and the 2007 North American Car of the Year — the Saturn Aura — are available with zero-per-cent purchase financing for up to 60 months. Lease rates of the Saturn vehicle start as low as 0.5 per cent on selected 2007 models.

Moreover, nearly 100 quality pre-owned cars, trucks and SUVs of Crowfoot Saturn Saab`s selection will be available at special low summer prices until last week of July.

A strict 160-point inspection is undergone by every Crowfoot Saturn Saab pre-owned vehicle. Crowfoot Saturn Saab is backing its vehicles with a three-month/5,000-kilometre warranty, and like its five-year/160,000-km new vehicle warranty, it is also one of the best in the business. Hofer says the dealership spends more for each vehicle on reconditioning than most.

Saab vehicles, one of the most affordable luxury brands on the market and internationally renowned for safety and comfort, are now available with financing rates from as low as 0.5 per cent and lease rates starting from only 0.75 per cent.

Hofer claims a customer gets hooked into a Saab that is why it is not anymore a surprise that the company that got its start designing aircraft makes quiet and smooth-running cars. He also adds that once customers buy a Saab, “they will buy Saab for the rest of their lives”.

The Crowfoot Saturn Saab features the 2007 Saturn Aura, which has 224-horsepower given by its 3.5-litre V6 engine, and with safety features such as six airbags, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and OnStar, Starting at only $26,340, you can own this award winning car.

It could be possible that the dealership also sells Saab aftermarket parts.

Great Summer Offerings from Crowfoot Saturn Saab

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Crowfoot Saturn Saab has become Calgary’s number one Saturn dealer for two consecutive years in the four years of its operation.

Aside from being a number one Saturn dealer, Crowfoot Saturn Saab is also offering the best customer service and is the only dealer in Calgary to win the Saturn Summit Award for outstanding progress two year in a row.

According to General Manager Mike Hofer of Crowfoot Saturn Saab their edge over other dealers is that their staff members treat each of their customers in the same way that they would want to be treated.

He also added that the no-hassle, no-haggle policy that they are employing on both their new and pre-owned vehicles ensures high quality products less the stress that goes with fighting over with customers on the right price.

And speaking of right price, Crowfoot Saturn will offer a clear-out sale which will involves many bargains like the 2007 ION winner of the Polk Automotive Loyalty Award for three consecutive years in a row. The ION is to be offered with an industry-leading zero percent purchase financing that could reach up to 72 months.

ION is not the only Saturn vehicle that is going to be included in the clear out sale. The infamous 2007 Vue Crossover SUV together with the Relay minivan, and the Saturn Aura winner of the 2007 North American Car of the Year are also available with a zero percent purchase financing that would cover 60 months. For those who are interested to lease any of the Saturn’s award-winning vehicles the lease rates will start at 0.5 percent on selected 2007 models.

This great summer offerings will not end with new vehicles alone, Crowfoot Saturn Saab will be showcasing around 100 high quality pre-owned cars, SUVs, and trucks at very low prices. The good news is that this special summer deal will run through the whole month of July.

At Crowfoot Saturn Saab every pre-owned vehicle undergoes thorough 160-point inspection and Hofer assures that the dealership spent more per vehicle on reconditioning than any dealers out there. This is also the very reason why Crowfoot is not afraid to backup its vehicles with a three-month/5,000-kilometer warranty which is considered to be one of the best in the industry just like the five-year/160,000-km warranty that it provides for new vehicles.

In the past the Saab the maker of Saab brake booster is just satisfied to go about its business producing great cars but for this year the automaker has chosen to make some noise for its upcoming clear-out sales. Saab is currently one of the most affordable luxury brands in the market and renowned for its comfort and safety features.

For more details on the Crowfoot Saturn Saab simply visit its location at 710 Crowfoot Cres. N.W. or log on at crowfootsaturn.saturnsaab.com. You may use the online dealerships inventory search engine that features information and multi-directional photos of each vehicle offered.

No Pressure Saturn Test Drives

Friday, November 7th, 2008

General Motors’ Saturn brand has always been known for having a very good relationship with its customers. And with the revitalization of its lineup, the company’s good reputation among consumers is also extended. Recently, General Motors offered Canadian consumers the chance to test drive Saturn vehicles at the parking lot of Future Shop on Lansdowne Street West in Edmonton, Canada.

The no-pressure test drives offered by Saturn are actually aimed at customers at the said store. Consumers who had the chance to test drive Saturn vehicles at the said event did not only get the chance to check out what the brand has to offer but were also given a $10 gift certificate for shopping at Future Shop.

This initiative by the Detroit automaker is part of its campaign of drawing more customers to Saturn showrooms not only in the United States but also in Canada. The said brand is recently named as the fastest growing General Motors brand. This increase in the brand’s popularity is brought on by its working relationship with another General Motors marque.

Opel, a German automaker, has been working with Saturn to revitalize the latter’s lineup. With European styling and performance ingrained on new Saturn vehicles, the reaction of consumers has been favorable for the struggling giant automaker. The revitalized lineup’s star is the Saturn Sky roadster.

According to General Motors’ spokesman, Michael Minielly, the Sky represents the coming of a new ear for Saturn. “The Sky was the first model in the new design philosophy,” he said. “Already the safety features were in the cars, the next step was making a beautiful vehicle,” Minielly added.

Aside from the Sky which is being sold in Europe as the Opel GT, Saturn`s lineup bears a strong resemblance to Opel’s. The reigning North American Car of the Year, the 2007 Saturn Aura was designed with Opel. Based on the Opel Vectra, the Aura combined the safety features of previous Saturn models with European styling.

The result is a vehicle which not only received positive reaction among auto journalists but also among consumers. The increasing popularity of the Aura made General Motors even more confident with the Aura and its auto parts such as the Saturn AC condenser and other components that their Saturn dealerships are now offering consumers to test drive the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord alongside the Aura.

Consumers who were able to come across the event were given the chance to test drive not only the North American Car of the Year but also the new Saturn Outlook which, in itself, has also wowed the auto industry. In the recent edition of Consumer Reports, the Outlook not only placed among the top five in the midsize crossover SUV but it also gained a spot at the large SUV segment.

The Outlook is slated to replace the outdated Saturn Relay for the 2008 model year. Aside from the Outlook, Saturn`s bestselling model, the Saturn Vue, also made an appearance at the event. The new Vue is also the result of the working relationship between Opel and Saturn. The 2008 Saturn Vue, like the Outlook and the Aura was also given favorable reviews by auto journalists. With the influence of European styling on the new Vue, it looks very different from its predecessor.

An additional piece to Saturn`s lineup is coming this fall – it is a rebadged Opel Astra. This vehicle though is not a part of the test drive offered by General Motors to Canadian consumers.
