Honey-Like Skin With Spray Tanning

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

Thousands of people have come to replace natural sun tan with spray tanning, particularly since thus you can enjoy a great honey-like skin all year round. It is both rewarding and cheerful to look in the mirror and admire a beautiful tan when it is twenty degrees below zero outside. Why all this fuss about spray tanning when there are so many indoor tanning salons? The problem with such services is that they are not 100% risk free since they still imply exposure to UVA and UVB. The action of the ultraviolets could be one of the most harmful, since even in controlled environment the hazard of developing skin cancer remains pretty high.

Spray tanning options are available from a lot of manufacturers that deal in this market sector. All the products usually mention “easy to apply evenly” but if the quality is not very high, there could be disadvantages to the use of spray tanning. Nevertheless, speaking in ideal terms, spray tanning allows you to reach spots that are much more difficult to rub with a skin lotion: this is the case of the shoulder blades for instance or the lower back areas. Moreover, the incidence of getting tan lines and color streaks is lower with spray tanning than with other products.

Then, there is a lot less “hands on” application involved in spray tanning particularly since the bronzer substances in the composition of the tanner proves very difficult to wash off the hands. Then, spray tanning solutions have a better drying rate than gels, foams and lotions which means that you can put on your clothes very soon after applying the sunless tanning product. One highly innovative idea is represented by the use of “airbrushing” booths that spray tanning substances evenly on the entire body. This kind of service is usually available in very prestigious treatment salons.

The bad part about “airbrush” spray tanning is that cleaning after the spray application could be pretty difficult: fingernails for instance are a true nuisance to clean if you do not wear something protective during the self-tanning process. The effect of spray tanning usually remains on the skin for about five to seven days particularly if the skin is moist when you apply the tanner. This means that if the skin undergoes a preparation process before spray tanning then the results will be more rewarding and longer lasting. Enjoy it!

Effective Control of Mites With Dust Mite Spray

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Everyone has dust mites in their beds, which can trigger allergic reactions because of the droppings these tiny insects leave behind. These insects are so tiny that you cannot see them with the naked eye. They do not bite and do not cause any diseases on their own. They thrive in the warm humid environment that a bed mattress provides as well as in carpeting, stuffed toys and in the cushions of the sofa. You can control the dust mite population in your home with regular cleaning and by using dust mite spray.

This product contains boron, which has proven effective in the control of insects in the home. It is a powder that you mix with water in a spray bottle. You spray your home and then repeat the task every four months. It will not harm fabrics and is clear and odourless so it won’t cause any allergic reactions to the residents of the home. You can spray the carpeting, the upholstery, stuffed toys as well as the mattresses and bedding.

If you feel that you really want to make sure you do have dust mites present in your home, you can use a kit that will detect the presence of these insects within ten minutes. These kits are sold individually and one kit will test one surface only. Just testing one mattress in your home may be more than you need to realize that this could be a thriving environment for millions of mites. Although you should wash your bedding in hot water at least once every two weeks and regularly clean and vacuum the floors, you can make this task easier when you use a spray for dust mites.

You can also use the solution of the spray in a carpet cleaner so that you not only kill the mites with the cleaning. The moisture you put into the carpets can lead to dust mites making their home there before it even dries, so you do give yourself additional protection by using the spray solution along with the cleaning.

The way in which this product works is that it coats the source of food for the mites. Mites feed on the dead skin cells of humans and the dander left behind by pets. When you eliminate the food source, then you eliminate the mites. If you perform a test on one surface and use this spray solution, you will see a dramatic decrease in the dust mite population if you retest the same surface after two weeks. After eight weeks, there will be no dust mites remaining.

One 8-ounce bag of the powder for the spray is sufficient for 200 square feet of carpeting. A two ound bag is enough to spray 800 square feet, but this will be reduced if you do use the solution in a carpet cleaner. You should use this product twice a year and when you start to spray your home with it, always start with the bedroom because this is where you will find the most dust mites.

New Antiseptic Spray with Manuka Honey

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Honeymark`s Antiseptic spray is a non-staining, non-greasy, non-sticky, alcohol-free antiseptic that can be used to relieve pain and prevent infection in wounds, scrapes and burns.

With cases of antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria (such as MRSA) on the rise, keeping skin free of harmful germs is an increasingly growing concern. MRSA bacterial cells don`t need a wound to penetrate the surface of the skin. This resilient bacterium can find its way into pores, hair follicles or microscopic cracks to cause a serious and potentially life threatening infection.

Some antiseptic products contain synthetic ingredients that can damage the skin as a result of regular and continuous use. Most hand gels and soaps contain alcohol which can dry the skin and crack it which gives germs an opportunity to get below the surface of the skin where they can cause infection. However, Honeymark`s Antiseptic Spray utilizes Manuka Honey as a natural antimicrobial agent. Manuka Honey is a safe, natural ingredient that has been found to have no harmful side effects when used topically on the skin as a healing agent. Studies have proven that there are no forms of harmful microorganisms that can combat the powerful healing properties of Manuka Honey, whether they be bacterial, viral or fungal. This product also contains Benzalkonium chloride which is considered one of the safest biocides and has a long history of efficacious use in eradicating bacteria.

Honeymark`s Antiseptic Spray can be used to both heal and prevent infection. For scrapes and abrasions, it has a lot more of a user-friendly application for covering large portions of the skin apposed to antiseptic creams. It`s also good for reaching areas often missed by soap and hand gels, such as around jewelry (rings) and under long fingernails. It`s also a safe “no-touch” first aid treatment rather than having to risk cross-infection if applying an antiseptic to another person.

Honeymark`s Antiseptic Spray is ideal for sports bags, lockers, pocketbooks, satchels, knapsacks or first aid kits. These days, it`s important to protect yourself from infection as well as preventing yourself from passing infection to the people you touch. There are many people who unknowingly carry infectious bacteria on their skin that can easily infect other people who may have a break in their skin. If you`re on the go and there`s no place to wash your hands, one spray of this product forms an instant, protective layer that helps to prevent infection and aids natural healing.

“Manuka Honey has a very soothing effect on the skin,” says Frank Buonanotte, CEO of Honeymark International. “Its anti-inflammatory properties help relieve pain associated with wounds, burns, insect bites and stings while protecting against harmful bacteria that cause infection.” Manuka Honey is currently being regarded as one of the only substances in the world that is capable of killing MRSA and healing Staph infections.

The non-aerosol, pump spray is safe for the environment and easy to use. For more information or to purchase Honeymark`s Antiseptic Spray with Manuka Honey, call 1-866-427-7329 or visit www.HoneymarkProducts.com. Honeymark products are not tested on animals.

Dry Scrubbers of Spray Type for Air Cleaning

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Oleg Systems Co. is a designer and manufacturer of industrial air scrubbing systems including wet dust / fume collectors. Air scrubbing equipment utilizing the principle of wet dust collecting is available in numerous designs utilizing a number of principles and featuring wide variation in effectiveness, initial cost, operating and maintenance expense, space, arrangements and material of construction.

Many industrial processes produce large quantities of gaseous or vaporized contaminants that must be separated from gas stream. Removal of these contaminants is usually achieved through absorption into a liquid or adsorption onto a solid medium. Incineration of the exhaust gas has also been successfully used for the removal of organic gases and vapors. Spray dry air scrubbers are used to absorb and neutralize acidic gaseous contaminants in hot industrial gas streams. They use an alkali spray to react with the acid gases to form a salt. The process heat evaporates the liquid, resulting in a dry particulate that is removed from the gas stream.

Typical industrial applications for spray dry scrubbers are:

* Control of hydrochloric acid (HCl) emissions from biological hazardous waste incinerators.
* Control of sulfuric acid and sulfur trioxide emissions from burning high-sulfur coal.
* Control of sulfur oxides, boric acid, and hydrogene fluoride (HF) gases from glass-melting furnaces.

Spray gas scrubbers conduct four operations:

1) atomization;
2) gas droplet mixing;
3) drying of liquid droplets;
4) removal and collection of a dry product.

These operations are carried out in a tower or a specially designed vessel. The atomizer must disperse a liquid containing an alkali compound that will react with acidic components of the gas stream. The liquid must be distributed uniformly within the dryer and mixed thoroughly with the hot gases in droplets of a size that will evaporate before striking a dryer surface.

In typical spray dryers used for acid gas control, the droplets have diameters from 50 to 200 microns. The larger droplets are of most concern because these might survive long enough to impinge on equipment surfaces. In general, a trade-off must be made between the largest amount of liquid that can be sprayed and the largest droplets that can be tolerated by the equipment.

An important aspect of spray dryer design and operation is the production and control of the gas flow patterns within the drying chamber. Because of the importnace of the flow patterns, spray scrubbers are usually classified on the basis of gas flow direction in the chamber relative to the spray:

- in Cocurrent Scrubber the liquid feed is sprayed with the flow of the hot gas;
- in Countercourent Scrubber the feed is sprayed against the flow of the gas;
- in Mixed Flow Scrubber there`s a combined cocurrent and countercurrent flow.

There are several types of atomizers. High-speed rotating disks achieve atomization through centrifugal motion. Nozzles are also frequently used – both centrifugal pressure nozzles and pnneumatic nozzles. In the centrifugal pressure nozzle, energy for atomization is supplied solely by the pressure of the feed fluid. In the two-fluid nozzles, air (or steam) supplies most of the energy required to atomize the liquid. As a result, two-fluid nozzle can produce very fine atomization, particularly with viscous materials.

Spray air scrubbers include metering valves, pumps and compressores, and controls to assure optimal chemical feed and temperature within gas-cleaning system.

Plastic Bed Liners – 3 Ways Better Than Spray On Liners

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Plastic bed liners for pickups are better in some ways than more expensive spray on liners. Depending on how you use your truck a cheaper plastic liner may be just what you want. A spray on liner has some advantages for sure, but a plastic one has advantages too.

Cheaper

For one, a drop in bed liner is cheaper. Save several hundred dollars over a professional spray coating. The very best plastic liners are half the cost of a spray on one. Now it`s a different look for sure, but the look is just different. Which looks better is just a matter of personal preference.

Tougher

If you really use your truck for hauling, a plastic lining is a great choice. Here`s why. A drop in liner is very thick, hard material that is almost impossible to break, dent or damage. Now you can scrape it up, and over a long time it can show wear and damage. But a plastic lining will take the toughest jobs with no problem. For example, hauling concrete blocks is about as abrasive a hauling task as you can get. A drop in liner just needs a washing after hauling blocks and you`ll hardly see any damage.

Now a spray on liner is tough, no doubt. But a spray coating is after all a high tech paint coating. The thick spray coating is damaged by hard use, but it`s so thick you don`t often get damage all the way down through the coating. And the spray coating can be repaired, but it`s damaged until it`s repaired.

Not Permanent

As tough as plastic bed liners are, they are easily replaced by just pulling one out and slipping another in. Not so with a spray on liner. It`s permanent, so the only way to make it like new is to get it repaired. Until it`s repaired, you have a damaged liner. You also can`t change your mind about the spray liner. You`ve got it once it`s installed.

Use your truck for tough hauling and you may wish to consider plastic bed liners. You can save money as compared to spray liners. Plus the liners are tougher if you`ll be using your truck for really rough hauling jobs.

Pepper Spray Safety: What Every Woman Needs To Know

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

Since pepper spray`s development years ago as a defense against wild animal attacks, self defense spray has become the vanguard of personal defense for men and women the world over. Pepper spray, sometimes called capsicum spray or OC spray is in many ways a further development of the Mace technology that first came about during the 1960s.

Simply put, pepper spray is a nasty and decisive response to bad intentions. The following list of ideas specifying what`s necessary for keeping any woman`s pepper spray in peak condition – and knowing how to use it.

Respect the pepper spray as you would any weapon.

You`ve bought the pepper spray to defend you against attackers, not to cause a painful accident to a friend or family member. Remember, pepper spray works on everyone, so don`t joke with the canister.

Learn to use the safety catch quickly and efficiently

Like a firearm, most pepper spray canisters feature a safety mechanism that prevents accidental discharge. Knowing where your pepper spray canister`s safety catch is located, and how to smoothly and quickly deactivate it.

Realize that practice makes perfect.

Just like with every tool that requires a certain accuracy of aim (from guns to remote controls!) the pepper spray`s effectiveness is limited to the degree of accuracy the user can bring to bear. Practice spraying your pepper spay canister at least once towards an inanimate object.

Make pepper spray only one tool in your arsenal.

Pepper spray doesn`t have to be your only resort when it comes to good self-defense. Personal defense classes, alert whistles and carefully-laid strategies all increase your safety.

The Great Uses of Anti-Fog Spray

Monday, December 15th, 2008

Photography is a beautiful thing, no matter what you are taking pictures of, whether it is of your family, pets, nature or your home, photographs are wonderful. When taking pictures, it is normally because you want to “capture the moment” so years later you can pick up he photograph and say “wow, look at me 20 years ago” or “gee honey, you look great with that tree in the background”. Things like that need to be keep and when you look at them again you will remember what a great time you had where ever you were.

Photos are also taken on special occasions, like when your baby takes their first step, when they go to “big school” for the first time or when they graduate. Memories such as these are precious and are even easier to remember when you have pictures to look at. The only horrible thing about photography is when you take the most beautiful picture, only to discover that your lens was dirty and the picture came out terrible and you cannot retake it. There is only one solution to this problem.

Anti-fog spray works magically on cameras. Before you are going to be clicking away, take a soft cloth and some anti-fog spray and clean the lens. That’s all you have to do, it’s quick, easy and the cleanness lasts! You will not have to wipe the lens after every photo you take; it lasts for quite some time before you will have to clean it again. Do not drench the cloth with spray, just put on enough to make the cloth slightly damp. Wipe the lens softly, and the work is complete, you can now start clicking away!

So now you can take those pretty pictures and they will come out just as the original thing you saw, anti-fog spray really does the trick.

The 411 on Pepper Spray

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

Do the words “pepper spray” conjure up images of a great new spicy sauce from Emeril`s kitchen? Unlike your favorite hot sauce, pepper spray is not something you`d want to use to spice up your dinner. No, pepper spray is one mean self-defense device, and that is why it is so popular.

And just like hot sauce, there are many different kinds of pepper spray on the market. There are different concentrations of pepper spray, different sized canisters, different brands, and even pepper spray disguised in things like ink pens and rings. With all these choices, how can you know what type of pepper spray is right for you? The first thing you need to know is exactly what goes into a canister of pepper spray .

There are three main kinds of chemicals that go into pepper sprays: CS, CN, and OC. CS and CN both attack and irritate the tissues in a person`s nose, eyes, and throat, otherwise known as the membrane tissues. When the chemicals get into these tissues, they cause them to run, tear and burn like crazy. But the sensations are not always immediate. Depending on the attacker, they can take anywhere from 5 seconds to 30 seconds to take effect, and even that is not guaranteed. If a person is intoxicated or high on drugs, or if they can`t feel pain for some other physical or mental reason, the CS and CN will not take them down.

The CS and CN chemicals are better known as tear gas, and they do have a profound effect on attackers and other people that happen to catch a whiff of the spray. But people can build up resistances to CS and CN. Because of this, the military and police departments have been known to put their recruits through a tear gas initiation, so that they can later be able to fight through the effects of tear gas.

On the other hand, the OC chemical, or oleoresin capsicum always works. That`s because technically this natural chemical is not an irritant, but an inflammatory compound. That means that the chemical has nothing to do directly with pain, though OC surely does cause pain. Instead, the main outcome is to cause the person`s membrane tissues to swell up. Their throat swells shut, and allows only the most basic breathing. In the meantime, their respiratory system goes into coughing seizures and their eyes swell shut.

OC is so powerful that it even causes the blood vessels in their eyes to “swell up,” or dilate. So a person goes temporarily blind, whether or not their eye lids swell shut. Nothing—not training, drugs, booze, or will power—can help a person when they are sprayed with pepper spray containing OC. They become incapacitated to the fullest, and can`t even concentrate enough to beg.

What does all of this mean to you? Basically, if you want a pepper spray to work, you need to buy the real thing. That means a spray with OC, or capsicum in it. Your personal safety is well worth it.

Trying A California Spray Tan

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Why is the sunless tanning procedure becoming very famous these days? Experts take two principal reasons as their basis. First, people think that a tanned skin is the passport towards becoming fashionable, hot, captivating, and desirable. Not all people are living in areas where there is a sufficient supply of sunshine.

More so, not all of you can thus afford to grab your bags for a vacation with the sun at the end of each month. This therefore means that there are people who are really turning to several mediums of sunless tanning. The second reason lies behind the fact that sunless tanning is much health-friendly. Everyone is aware that the constant exposure to the ultraviolet rays emitted by the sun only heightens the possibility of skin cancer. Sunless tanning is able to give you the desired result without actually harming your own skin.

Initially, there are four principal methods which are applicable for sunless tanning. They are the use of the sunless tanning lotion, spray tan machine, tanning beds, and the intake of the tanning pills. What are they all about?

Sunless tanning lotions.

The sunless tanning lotions generally contain some bronzing ingredients known as the DHA. The DHA is a colorless sugar that interferes with the dead skin cells which henceforth causes a change in color of the skin. The change in the skin color lasts approximately from five up to seven days after the first application. This may be easy to use but an even tan cannot be guaranteed at all.

Spray tanning.

This may be just the same as the tanning lotion only that the tanning solution is applied through a spray. A spray gun can be used for this method but the spray tan machine is a lot better since an even tanning application may be assured. The spray tan machine is likewise termed as a booth.

Tanning beds.

The tanning beds or otherwise known as sun beds possess those fluorescent tubes. These tubes are responsible for tanning the skin through the emission of the ultraviolet rays. The same type of such rays is also derived from the sun itself. Tanning beds are effective but then the overuse of them usually causes skin aging and worst, skin cancer.

Tanning pills.

These pills come in three variants. There are tanning pills which contain the caretenoid pigments, those without active ingredients, and those pills with tyrosine. The caretenoid pills have the special pigments which saturate all of the fat layers underlying the skin. Tanning pills change the skin color but they are not as effective as the rest of the tanning mediums.

Most people agree to the use of the California Tan Spray machine. If you wish to get the same experience, start looking for the most established and reputable tanning salon near your place. It is advisable to get the opinion of the people around you.

A thorough research especially with those people who have had their own experience with the California Tan Spray machine will help you a lot in deciding for the right place to go to. Once you`ve found the salon that you wish to get your tan from, make an appointment. Usually, the result of the California Tan Spray machine is an even tan all over your body. So where do you want to go then?

Information on California facts can be found at the US States Facts site.
